MAY, THE MONTH OF MARY (MAY 8) – MARY, DESTROYER OF ALL HERESIES
Our God, the Eternal Truth, has deigned to speak to men through the Prophets in ancient times and then through His son Jesus Christ. The Catholic Church, divinely instituted, preserves and transmits unchanged to the human generations all the truths revealed by God.
The good believe, the bad do not believe, because their works are evil and they love the darkness rather than the light.
Those who deny or fight the truths revealed by God are called heretics. The Blessed Virgin, Co-redemptrix of the human race, cannot remain indifferent to the ruin of such souls and wants to show Herself to be a compassionate Mother. When Our Lady presented Jesus to the Temple, the old Simeon prophesied to her:
“Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is spoken against and a sword will pierce through your own soul also, that thoughts out of many hearts may be revealed.” (St. Luke, II, 34).
If the heretics are not converted, that Jesus whom they deny or fight against, will be their ruin, because one day he will condemn them to eternal fire. The Immaculate Heart of Mary is very afflicted because the Mystical Body of Jesus, the Church, is torn by heretics. She comes to help overthrow heresies and save the misguided.
History records many wonderful examples of the goodness of our Lady! Remember the heresy of the Albigensian, which was eradicated by Saint Dominic of Guzman, who was chosen by the Virgin directly and instructed on the means of victory, that is, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary. In a similar and more striking way, we remember the victory of Lepanto, obtained with the Rosary, so that Europe was freed from the dangers of Muhammad’s doctrine.
One of the great danger threatening humanity is communism, an atheist and a revolutionary doctrine. Russia is its biggest victim. It is necessary to pray to the Queen of Heaven, triumphant against heresies, so that heretics will soon return to the Church of God.
EXAMPLE:
In the apparitions of Fatima, Our Lady said to Lucia:
“You have seen where the souls of poor sinners are cast down. To save them, God wants to establish the devotion to my Immaculate Heart throughout the world. I will come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart.”
The message of Fatima did not close on October 13, 1917. The Virgin appeared again to Lucia on December 10, 1925. The Child Jesus stood beside our Lady, raised above a cloud of light. The Virgin held a Heart in her hands, surrounded by acute thorns. First, he spoke to Lucia the Child Jesus:
“Have compassion on the Heart of your Most Holy Mother! Here it is all covered with thorns, with which ungrateful men pierce Her heart every moment and there is no one who removes some thorns from it with an act of reparation.”
Then Our Lady said:
“My daughter, contemplate my Heart surrounded by thorns, with which ungrateful men continually pierce it with their blasphemies and ingratitude. You at least strive to console me.”
In 1929, Our Lady reappeared to sister Lucia, asking for the consecration of Russia to Her Immaculate Heart and promising that, if the request is accepted, “Russia will be converted and there will be peace!”
On October 31, 1942, Pius XII consecrated the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, with special mention of Russia, which was later reconsecrated individually in 1952.
May we hasten the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary on communism, with our daily offering of prayers and sacrifices.
