Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Fourth Day) – THE SACRED HEART PRECEDE US
JESUS PRECEDE US AS OUR MODEL and SOURCE OF SANCTITY
Learn from me for I am meek and humble of heart. With his Heart in his hand, full of goodness and love, the abyss of all virtues, a source of life and holiness, Jesus presents himself to us as a model to imitate. But if imitating such a high model might frighten us and discourage us because of our weakness, let us approach the holy humanity of Christ, let us draw from His Heart how much we need of grace and virtue to make up for our deficiency. He is not only perfect model, but the source of our holiness.
