Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Second Day) – THE SACRED HEART JUSTIFIES US
We are children of God
Before baptism, we were children of wrath haunted by original sin. The water of baptism has purified and justified us: at that moment even the sky opened on our head and the Father exclaimed: “here is my beloved son”. Look at what immense love the Father has given us so that we are called children of God and such we are truly.
A little offering to the Sacred Heart:
Do a little crafting for the Sacred Heart with your children. Here is a simple idea. Prepare a vine garland that resembles a crown of thorns and use it as a centerpiece. Have the children make a large heart of paper to be placed in the middle of the crown. On the heart, each family member must write an intention of prayer and/or a work of mercy that he/she will offer to the Sacred Heart for the rest of the month of June.
